    New Windows Defender Platform 4.18.1812.3-0


    For those running custom scheduled tasks there's a new version platform folder:

    C:/ProgramData/Microsoft/Windows Defender/Platform/4.18.1812.3-0/

    This just came down on both my machines, no doubt in prep for tomorrow's CU.

    Latest Defender Platform update : 4.18.1806.18062-0

    Good Day, Just had the latest Monthly Defender Platform Update as per :

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/4052623/update-for-windows-defender-antimalware-platform.

    However I note that Defender Offline Folder and mainly the files do not get updated ? Is this correct because it means that mine are 2 years Old (June 2016) but it doesn't seem right if you look at why Microsoft are Updating the Defender Files on a Monthly
    basis.

    Is this correct that Defender Offline it is not updated (it does duplicate a number of files with Defender e.g MpCmdRun.exe, MsMpEng.exe and many more ), although OfflineScannerShell.exe are only in the OffLine Folder(s)

    windows xp installation and dual core am

    could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
