Windows 10: New Windows Update Murdered My Dell Inspron 15

So seeing as the version of windows I had been using last night was ending support, I scheduled my laptop to update and shut down afterwards once I left the house. When I turned back on my computer, my laptop almost instantly became boiling hot, and when i tried to prop it up it was actually damaging those things. Not only that, but the update has caused the lag on my device to be unbearable, where previously it was already quite horrid.

Method 1: I suggest you to run the hardware and device troubleshooter
to check and fix issues with hardware and devices.
Refer these steps:

• Press Windows key +X, select Control panel.
• Click on troubleshooting and click on the
  view all option on the left panel.
• Run the Hardware and devices troubleshooter.
  

Method 2: Update the touchscreen drivers manually from the Device manager by following the steps below and check if the issue is resolved.

1.Press Windows logo + X keys on the keyboard and select
Device manager from the context menu.

2.Expand Human Interface Device option, right click on the touchscreen driver and select Update this software from the context menu.

3.Follow the on-screen instructions.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Limited connection problem in Dell Inspiron 15 3521 after update


Hi,
I am experiencing Problem with the wifi connectivity after I updated my Dell Inspiron 15 3521. I updated the Dell Wireless 1703 802.11b/g/n (2.4GHz) to the latest and tried every steps I could find in the blogs, youtube and communities talk but still couldn't fix the problem.
Any kind of help will be appreciated.
