Windows 10: Newest Windows 10 update screwed up my File Explorer color background & can't change it...

I just completed the most recent Windows 10 update version 1809. My file explorer window background was white, now it's black. I absolutely hate it!!!

I've tried to change it back but nothing has worked. I don't want to change my themes or any other colors anywhere else except in File Explorer.

Please help me change my background in File Explorer (only) back to white. Thank you~

change desktop background color

Hi,

To change the desktop background into a solid color, see the steps below:

• Right-click on the desktop, and select Personalize.
• Under Personalization, select Background.
• On the right pane, click on the drop-down menu for Background, and then select
  Solid color.
• Choose your preferred color and it should immediately make changes.

• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

I realize that the background color changed from blue to black. I will try to help you with this issue.

Close all open windows, restart the computer once and then login to the computer to check if that helps.

Further you may also want to ensure that default theme is selected. Follow these steps:
