I have tried: overclockingvery low system power draw voltage out of the box, downloaded thisisWin from github to remove bloatware, followed guides for system performance. There has been blue screen of death on startup and mostly after overclocking. Also when installing windows screen turned black a few times where i just restarted the pc after a few minutes each time and it worked it out itself.file:///C:/Windows/Minidump/040823-5109-01.zip Sometimes say directX crashed, mostly just closed the game and the last time it also restarted my pc. It is important to note these crashes also happened

    :)

    Newly Built PC Keeps Crashing

I am typically able to boot into safe mode although the computer seems to crash whenever I either open a certain program, open multiple programs at once, or do something like downloading/installing a piece of software. I’ve been keeping a tab on my “Power
Usage” in task manager when I do certain actions and noticed when opening most applications on my device, the power usage spikes from low to “Very High”. Not sure if this is normal although it may help.

In addition, it sometimes does work for longer periods of time. Earlier last night it didnt crash while starting windows so I decided to try out some games and see if they worked and surprisingly I was able to play a quick game of Overwatch after which I
went over to play League of Legends with some friend I was talking to on discord and everything seemed perfectly fine. Although later in that game of League, the PC just went dark and crashed again for what seemed like no apparent reason. Not sure if this
is helpful although it seems very odd in my opinion.

I have tried the Startup Repair with no luck. I also was able to use safe mode to download the latest motherboard and gpu drivers. Last night I ordered a new 650W PSU mostly to help troubleshoot although I will likely just return it if it is not helpful.

I do have this theory that seems a bit farfetched although it quite possibly could be the GPU which is failing because the same time my PC began experiencing these issues, both DisplayPorts on my PC stopped working although windows itself recognizes my monitor
when its plugged in it simply cannot activate it. The monitor works fine when plugged in via HDMI. This leads me to think DisplayPort could possibly require more wattage to run properly and the GPU might not be getting enough wattage to do just that. I’m definitely
not an expert so feel free to correct me if im wrong although this seems

like it could be a step in the right direction. Anyway, I will go try and find that minidump file right now and upload it to you ASAP. I appreciate all the help so far.

  3. Desktop PC crashes and shuts down after playing some games for a few minutes.

How demanding the game is does not matter, several high demand games run just fine, the only ones that I know that crash are listed in the OP, Overwatch and Doom are not light games. Overwatch actualy gets the temps higher than any of the other games but
is one I play all the time and never get any crashes.

Just typing that I realize that should be alarm bells, but I would rather play Overwatch most of the time anyway.
