  1. Newly Built PC Microphone jacks gives digital feedback

I just built my first ever PC by myself and I got it up and running after a LONG time .Here is the weird part. I have a USB Headset with the green headphone jack and the red microphone jack. On my old PC it worked fine. I don't know what I did here but it's not working.

Audio plays through just fine, I can hear people on discord and music. But if I try to use my mic nothing happens, if I go to TEST on discord I hear digital feedback. The same thing happens on the back of the case too on my MOBO.I don't know what I did wrong.

    :)

  3. My headset's built in microphone's not working

    Hello Mikkel,

We just want to confirm, are you referring to feedback loop? If yes, note that you may hear feedback from your PC speakers if
one or more of the the following conditions are true:

    • You increase the Microphone Boost option.
    • The speakers are too close to the microphone.
    • The speaker volume is turned up so as the microphone hears the speakers.
    • You have a very sensitive microphone.

You may be able to reduce or eliminate the feedback you are hearing by trying the following steps:

    • Open Control Panel.
    • Open the Hardware and Sound setting.
    • Open the Sound setting.
    • Select the Recording tab and double-click your microphone you have selected as the default recording device.
    • Click on the Level tab and reduce the Microphone Boost setting. Note: This setting may not be available for some microphones.

You may also be able to reduce the feedback loop by selecting the Enhancement tab in the microphone's properties page and enabling one of the following options:

    • Enable Noise Suppression
    • Enable Acoustic Echo Cancellation

Note: These settings are audio hardware and software specific and may not be available for all microphones.

Let us know if that worked out for you.

  4. Newly Built PC Microphone jacks gives digital feedback

Built-in Microphone not working (only residual sound)

I'm not sure if this problem came when I updated to Windows 10, but my built-in microphone is not working anymore. When I test it there is some residual sound (as some friends also tell me when I do TeamSpeak with them without a headset through the 3.5mm jack). I'm using an Acer Aspire 5741 (I'm not sure how to check the specific microphone specs or its driver). Isthis common? Do you have any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance!
