  1. newly downloaded files are now going to OneDrive and not to my C downloads folder

Am pretty sure it's my fault. I had originally designated only a couple of folders to be synced to OneDrive. But as my C/Downloads folder size increased I thought it best to at have at least a backup. What I did was to drag the C/Downloads folder icon to the OneDrive window, which may or may not have made the C/Downloads folder disappear. I can't recall. I also changed the icon on my C/Downloads folder to one with the more recognizable blue down arrow. As a result, any and all subsequent downloads now go to that OneDrive folder and not to C/Downloads.

    How can I undo this?

    :)

  3. Downloaded files disappear

When you download a file through any browser, there's an option somewhere to 'Open Containing Folder.'

In Windows, to find a file you have downloaded...

    1. Open your personal folder by clicking the Start button and then clicking your user name at the top of the Start menu's right pane.
    2. Double-click one of the following folders:
      • Downloads
      • Documents
      • Pictures
      • Videos
      • Music

If you do not see the file you are looking for, but know its file name, you can search for it by following these steps:
To search for a file you have downloaded...

    1. Click the Start button
    2. Type all or part of the file name into the Search box.
The file you are looking for will appear in the list of results.

  4. newly downloaded files are now going to OneDrive and not to my C downloads folder

Download from Onedrive to Save Files on PC

    Hi!

I have just moved over 500 GB of picture files from my old PC to a new PC using OneDrive. It took a couple of days for the files to download from OneDrive. They now sit on the OneDrive folder on my new PC - only they don't. Every time I open a picture
file I see a message saying downloading file from OneDrive. If I check the properties of the Pictures Folder within the OneDrive folder it shows I have some 435 GB of 503 GB saved on disk. This suggests that not all parts of the files have been download.

I want to save the files from OneDrive on my C: drive in Pictures folder. What is the best way to do it? Do I Copy or Move the files in the OneDrive folder?

    All suggestions welcome.

    Thanks, Nick
