Newly installed app made itself read-only and I can't uninstall or delete

Hi Forum Folks,I downloaded & installed a bookmark manager for Chrome yesterday, decided immediately that I didn't like it, and now I can't uninstall or delete it. It doesn't show up at all in the App list in Windows Settings, doesn't show in "Programs" in the old Control Panel, and it won't allow me to delete it in File Manager because the folder and everything in it are set to "read only." I can't even delete it from Linux... How can I get rid of this thing? Any suggestions GREATLY appreciated!

    :)

  2. cant uninstall 3dmark06

yes! i got it. lol this is really weird it seems when you install something (oblivion,3dmark06) you must have selected the view read-me when you install it or else you cant uninstall it lol. well what i did was use that kill box to delete enough for me to do a re install and i re installed it and read the read me, and then uninstalled it lol. thanks for suggestions.

C windows installer folder - Delete?

He can do symbolic link redirection and move the files in it to a different location. *Wink Newly installed app made itself read-only and I can't uninstall or delete ;)
Better try it out in a virtual of first. Just a suggestion.

    Like:
First move everything in c:\windows\installer to d:\installercache
    Then delete c:\windows\installer folder
Then type this in command mode as admin
    mklink /d c:\windows\installer d:\installercache

Removing those installer files is a bad idea. it might prevent you from updating or uninstalling apps.

Search showing old, deleted apps and not showing newly installed apps

Here you go, I manually rebuilt the index and can't find the Filmora app
