Windows 10: Newly installed Windows 10 Home and Printing Issues

I have just built a new computer from propriety components and installed Windows 10 version 1909 build 18363.836 a genuine copy and installed an HP Envy 4520 all in one printer WiFi connected with automatic duplex printing.

In the Printer Properties from the Control panel it clearly recognises that it is a colour printer with automatic duplex facility. When I print a test page from within the HP Smart app. it prints in colour. It only prints a single page so I can't check the duplex facility

When I print eg. a page form my web browser or any other application running in Windows 10 and go to preferences in the print dialog box I cannot select colour or automatic duplexing, so all is printed in B&W on individual sheets.

I have removed and re-installed the printer and checked for updated drivers several times but I cannot get it to print in colour or automatically on both sides of the paper from any application.

I can however print in colour and on both sides of the paper automatically from my phone.

Any ideas please?

It's basically what I mentioned above, small issues here and there ,but nothing to end your day.. for the most part.

I know it's anecdotal, but for my experience 95% of the time it's perfectly fine. The issues I've run into wouldn't be enough for me to roll back , but they would be enough (had I not installed it yet) ,to avoid it for another couple weeks which is why I'm suggesting it to the OP

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

I suggest you to run Hardware and Devices Troubleshooter.
Follow these steps to run Hardware and Devices troubleshooter:

• Press Windows key + X and click on
  Control Panel.
• Select Troubleshooting.
• Select View all on the top left corner.
• Click Printer.
• Follow the on-screen instruction to run the troubleshooter.

Also, I suggest you to install the latest chipset and printer drivers from manufacturer website and check if it fixes the issue.
