Windows 10: News and interests icon Taskbar Windows 10

After the latest Windows 10 update my News and interests icon on the taskbar has vanished. I keep my taskbar at the top of the screen. If I pull it to the bottom it re-appears. It always showed at the top before the update but does not now. Or with the taskbar at the sides. System restore puts it back where I want it. Any ideas?

I don't see how you can help, with irrelevant suggestions like these.

Yes, my taskbar is at the bottom of the screen -- not that the taskbar position has anything whatsoever to do with the News and interests icon.

Yes, I tried disabling and re-enabling the News and interests icon. I even wrote that suggestion in another thread.

Yes, my Windows is fully up to date, including optional updates. The version is 21H2. Actually, I believe the latest Windows update may be the problem. The icon was working correctly, until very recently.

 

System Icons on taskbar

Are you referring to the clock system icon on the taskbar?

If so, I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below:

• 
  Click on the search bar on the taskbar.
  
• 
  Type system icons.
  
• 
  Under Turn System Icons ON or OFF, turn On the Clock and check with the issue.
