Windows 10: News Feed Window and OneDrive

Starting up a computer that automatically signs you into OneDrive may or may not slow your computer down pretty bad. I use OneDrive and it automatically signs me in every time I start the computer, and it's good, it's pretty good. However, it also takes up a massive amount of CPU and slows the computer down so much it seems like your computer is frozen. If you open an app during this time, it will take 1-2 minutes to open up or 30 seconds, it depends on the app. Also, the News Feed slows down your computer too. I have a problem with the News Feed because at random it will pop up and start tr

Windows 10 - OneDrive

Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.

If that is still insufficient, there is a batch uninstaller for OneDrive available online. I can copy the code here if you need it.

I am replying to the above advice. Been there, done that. In fact, I did that set of steps before I ever asked for help here. Does anyone have any other suggestions? It is very inconvenient to have no taskbar.

I suggest you to follow the steps below on how to Customize News Feed in Microsoft Edge Browser and check if this helps:

• Open Microsoft Edge Browser and click “Customise” (above top sites on the right side).
• Select Top sites and my news feed, select your language and choose your favorite topics.
• After selecting your favorite topics, now click Save. That’s it. Now you can see your favorite news on Microsoft Edge home.
