Windows 10: News Feeds Registry Key Resets after restart

In a previous question I asked how to completely disable the news feeds from the task bar because my son new how to reenable it and was blowing a lot of time looking at news articles.I can open his profile on the computer, open regedit, and then edit the key:Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Feeds- IsFeedsAvailable -> set to 0The removes the news feeds submenu from the taskbar menu so that it cannot be reenabled by a saavy child. However, when the user logs out and then logs back in, the IsFeedsAvailable is reset to 1, so the feeds become available again.

Edge browser no longer displays the news feed

I am replying to the above advice. Been there, done that. In fact, I did that set of steps before I ever asked for help here. Does anyone have any other suggestions? It is very inconvenient to have no taskbar.

• Open Microsoft Edge Browser and click “Customise” (above top sites on the right side).
• Select Top sites and my news feed, select your language and choose your favorite topics.
• After selecting your favorite topics, now click Save. That’s it. Now you can see your favorite news on Microsoft Edge home.
