Windows 10: Newsfeed comment reaction icons/emojis have changed from the original colored selection of...

My newsfeed comment reaction icons/emojis have changed from the original colored selection of 5 to a choice of thumbs up and down only. Also has affected the count on responses left by others on comments I have posted. ..... I no longer have access to the original 5 colored comment response icons/emojis thumbs up, heart, shockface, thinking face, and angry face. My only choices now are a black only thumbs up and thumbs down, even tho when I go to my profile I am still seeing some responses to my comments showing in the original 5 colored icon format. Also I have discovered that the count tot

Except that the reactions are increasing even without a new activity item coming to the top to show that someone has reacted to a comment. I suspect the reaction count goes up for more than just the original post, like when replies to your comment get reactions.

For example: MO's original post gets 6 reactions/likes and another commenter responds to MO's original comment, and their response gets 3 likes, then MO's reaction count goes up by 9 on the comment string.

2nd example: When MO responds to someone else's original post, and another commenter responds to me and tags MO. If 2 people like MO's response and 3 people like the other commenter's response to the response, then MO's reaction count goes up by 5.

 

Emoji (Available VS Selectable)

I love using emoji when I'm texting or messaging.

One of the things that I noticed from Windows 8 to Windows 8.1 is that when you have the EMOJI window up, it disappears right after you select an emoji.

On Windows 8, the window would stay up until you switched off it, which I honestly preferred. I've looked on Keyboard Settings to see if there was an option to speed up typing by hiding an emoji after selecting it, but I didn't see one. So now when I EMOJI
story telling, I have to hit back, scroll and find the same theme, where before I could just rapid tap 5 flowers or poop's back to back.

Has anyone noticed or disliked this change, or was it just me?

Additionally, I've noticed that compared to iphone users they have more choices at their finger tips. They probably have to do a little bit more scrolling than we do, but they have all emoji available to be selected. We have a great quantity, but I noticed
that we don't have access to all.

Emoji that we can't select will still show up if an iPhone user sends it to us. So it's not that we don't have the emoji on our phone, but it's not selectable. Sometimes you can get around this by typing the emoji you are looking for and pressing space (the
suggestions will show related icons). But sometimes I just want to look through a list and see what they look like.

What is included in the count of Reactions on the user profile? The number keeps tracking upwards while the activity page does not reflect where those reactions came from. What counts as a reaction, then? If a commenter responds to an original post, are they also garnering reaction counts from the original post? If a commenter is tagged, are they getting reaction counts from someone else's post they are tagged on?
