Windows 10: NFS Heat won't open in Taskbar but shows in Task Manager

Hello,I am trying to open NFS Heat on my PC and it seems to be showing in the Task Manager but not down on my Taskbar. I know my PC has more than enough power to play it as I have before but I haven't been on my PC in quite some time and now getting back to it, it just isn't letting me. I tried reinstalling and running as administrator. I appreciate any helpHere are my specs if needed:i5-10500KRTX 307016GB

Applications won`t maximize

Following a W10 update, applications only open as minimised on the taskbar and won`t maximize. I have tried closing them minimised but no good. Can anyone help ? thanks

 

No restart button in task manager

another easy way to kill tasks, download and install Winaero Tweaker(free) and theres a setting to add a Kill non responding tasks using the desktop right click menu. When you place your cursor on the desktop anywhere and right click the option is at the top of the list, Very handy and you dont have to go through all those steps and well Winaero Tweaker has alot of cool Windows tweaks. Just posting a different suggestion, Im sure your ok with what was suggested here.

Thanks for the suggestion. I followed your guide but it results in Task manager opening in a normal window. I double-checked that I had done exactly as you said. Task manager just does not obey normal rules in this respect [as others have also discovered - I did search quite extensively before asking here].

My own method does not achieve what I wanted but seems to be the best that I am going to get - Task manager opens minimised to the TaskBar {so it is neatly out of the way but I have to click twice on its TaskBar button to change this to minimised to the System tray}.

I adopt a different approach to the TS task
1 The task runs at logon at an Admin level
2 The task runs a vbs file
3 The vbs file runs the Task manager shortcut
4 The shortcut is set to run minimised [and I have tried adding the -Hide argument to it without effect]
5 Task manager opens minimised to the TaskBar {so it is neatly out of the way but I have to click twice on its TaskBar button to change this to minimised to the System tray}
