Windows 10: Night light is stuck on

I plugged into my dock 2 external monitors and night light is on, on monitor 2 only. It should be off as it's 11am and set to run during nighttime only. If I toggle on and off it changes the other external monitor and the laptop monitor but doesn't change the second external monitor, which is stuck on.A restart will surely resolve it, but it's annoying AF because either this OR the alternative of the night light not coming on when it should being stuck off happens almost daily.

Windows 10 night light stuck on

The Night Light feature on my Windows 10 computer is stuck on, and will not turn off. I can turn it off by turning the intensity down to zero, but no other controls have any effect on it. Turning it off with the control panel does not turn it off.

I have tried:

• Turning on and off the night light schedule
  
• Checking my graphics driver (it's already up to date)
  
• sfc /scannow (no problems detected)
  

This is the second time it's happened; the first time was solved by running sfc /scannow and rebooting. I suspect just a reboot would fix this, but I would like to not have to constantly reboot just to solve this minor issue - I'd like a real solution for it.

This happened when the system went to sleep while the night light was on, and woke up outside of night light schedule hours. Previously this would often result in a state where you could simply toggle the night light off and on again to get it to reset to whatever the appropriate setting was for the schedule. Now I'm unable to toggle the night light off and on again because I can't turn it off at all, by any means - I can only turn it down to zero manually.

This seems to me like a bug - Windows isn't properly managing the interaction between sleep/wake and the night light schedule. If it's not a bug, I'd love to know how to fix it! If it is a bug, I'd love to see it fixed!
