Windows 10: Night Light turns off if monitor is "disconnected" due to switching inputs

I have multiple computers connected to my monitor. My main system Win10 is connected with Display Port. When I switch the input on my monitor to another input/computer and then switch back to my main system on Display Port, Night Light has turned itself off.I have to manually turn it back on even though I'm in the night light scheduled time.How can I fix this?

Night Light Setting and Third Monitor.

We would like to ask you some questions in order assist you properly:

• Did Night light work previously on all three monitors?
• Have you made any recent changes to your PC?
• Are you getting an error message on the third monitor regarding Night light?
• Is the third monitor being detected by your PC?
• What troubleshooting steps have you performed so far?

While waiting for your response, we suggest that you try to connect your third monitor to what you are using on the 2 working monitors to see if it is only a loose connection issue.

Windows Night Light always on for laptop monitor.

Hi All

I have a problem with windows night light that started recently (two weeks ago at most). When I (re)start my computer with or without a monitor connected, windows night light works fine (following a scheme as it's supposed to). However, as soon as I change
display (switch from "second screen only" to "extended", (dis)connect an external monitor etc.), a windows night light filter gets added to my laptop monitor, while the setting still appears to be off (until next sunset). Turning off night light altogether
changes nothing, "turn on now" only adds more blue-light filtering (on top of what's already filtered, incorrectly).

Since I'm switching display all the time, this problem is very annoying!

I'm using windows 10 Home, Version 1709, build 1299.371. I have the latest windows updates installed, and my display drivers are up to date as well. Any suggestions?

Night Light Settings

Separately from the Night Light, is the brightness options also disabled? If so, I might recommend these steps to make it work again:

1) Right-click Start button, choose Device Manager

2) Find the "monitors" section in the list and expand it

3) Right-click and uninstall every item listed under the monitors section

….. note: don't accidentally go to the "display adapter section", leave that one untouched.

4) Click the "scan for hardware" button on the toolbar up top (the icon with the magnifying glass inside it)

5) Try brightness and night light settings again
