Windows 10: Nitro 5 Laptop stuck on black lit screen after showing “preparing for automatic repair”

This happened about a hour ago. I was in the middle of gaming and my game kept freezing so I force shut down my PC. When it turned back on, I was shown “preparing automatic repair” with the acer logo. The screen went black but it was lit. My keyboard was still on along with my fan running.


I tried pressing F2 to load the default configuration. Tried restarting my PC multiple times. I tried pressing down alt+f10 but I was shown “Please Wait.” It went back to a black lit screen. I also tried hitting F11 but nothing happened either. I tried hitting Fn and F11 and F11 during different restarts. I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong as hitting F2 helped for me but F11 and Alt+F10 didn’t.

Is there anything else to do ? I’m so lost. Please help!

Preparing automatic repair black screen afterwards stuck

Fixing this gaming PC for a friend. His computer gets stuck on the windows logo with the dotted spinning circle. In the past to fix this i've done a startup repair. But this time, the PC starts the Preparing Automatic Repair, then screen goes black, where normally it should be showing diagnosing your pc before loaded the Automatic Repair screen.

What should I attempt to try next?

I Have Dell G3 laptop "Preparing Automatic Repair" - black screen. I don't see the Windows loading. I just have a black screen with logo DELL in the centre. Nothing is moving, nothing else appears, until the
"Preparing Automatic Repair" appears at the bottom.

I've tried doing the hard restarts many times, but the laptop will never boot into the Recovery Environment.

I tried hard restarts but it keeps repeating this cycle over and over again - "Preparing Automatic Repair" - black screen "STUCK" . I even left my laptop on the black screen for a couple of hours, hoping it might fix
itself but it does nothing.



How can I get out of this problem that Windows has forced my laptop into?

Black Screen After Preparing Automatic Repair

When I try to start my laptop by pressing the power button, it first shows the VAIO logo on a black background for a while, then after a error message on a blue screen (for 2 seconds), ‘Preparing Automatic Pepair’ appears for a bit on the screen, before
it goes black. The power button is still lit. Even mouse pointer doesn't appear.

I tried to make a bootable Windows 8 and repair with it but it didn't work. I tried to change BIOS settings, again nothing changed. CTRL ALT DEL didn't work. I used bootable Ubuntu without setting up to be sure that it is not about hardware componenets,
it opened easily. What can I do next?
