No 60hz option only 144hz after windows 10 fresh install

i bought a loq15aph18 and i didnt like windows 11 so i downloaded a fresh install of windows 10. I optimized the processes of the cpu and the overal performance with a powershellscripts christitusw10 script and optimizer, i did that mainly for the battery life because i take it to school and use alot. So the next idea was to go to 60hz now because i reinstalled my drivers and etc. I went to the advanced display settings and just as before i did all the optimize things there is no 60hz for me. I went on to reinstall the drivers again amd and rtx and still no 60hz. I know i can get 60hz throug

    :)

My 144hz monitor is stuck at 60hz.

I have a BenQ XL2430T 1080p 144hz monitor but it's stuck at 60hz. I have an RTX 2060 and I'm using an HDMI 2.0 cable. Windows and Nvidia control panels only say 60hz, and there is no option to change the refresh rate in the monitor settings.

My 144hz monitor is stuck at 60hz.

    For https://diamondlobby.com/tech-guides/why-is-my-...

    I have:

Checked the windows settings, says 60hz there.

Check if I'm using a cable for 144hz, yes I am, HDMI 2.0.

Checked if I had outdated drivers, and updated them all, but nothing changed.

Checked if I plugged it into the wrong port, no, I plugged it into the GPU HDMI port.

    For https://www.reddit.com/r/Monitors/comments/k3iv...

    I have:

Tried a different cable, but nothing changed.

Tried an Nvidia Custom Resolution, doesn't save.

    I have a cable that supports 144hz.
I've tried unplugging and replugging the cable, but did nothing

    For https://www.reddit.com/r/Monitors/comments/s0gg..
    I
    have:

Tried using another HDMI port, but only have one.

I've tried changing it in both windows and Nvidia settings, but both say 60hz.

    For https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/144hz-m...

    I have:

Turned "VSYNC" off and "Preferred refresh rate" to "Highest Available," still stuck at 60hz.

    For https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/144hz-m...

    I have:

Tried nothing, since it's talking about someone's monitor who isn't capped to 60hz, just thought it was capped when using a UFOtest, which is unreliable. It was set to 144hz.

    And for https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/stuck-a...
    I
    have:

Tried lowering the resolution, I lowered it to 720p and got an option for 120hz, but I want to be able to use my full 1080p@144hz.

Though, I am planning on attempting to use CRU, though I'm still thinking about it since I read that it could cause some screen bugs and shorten the life span of the monitor.

No 60hz option only 144hz after windows 10 fresh install

My 144hz monitor is stuck at 60hz.

I've already done most of these things. I've updated my monitor drivers and my GPU drivers, I'm on the most recent Windows version. Though I should mention, that this is a hand me down from my father, who used this monitor and GPU at 120hz with an HDMI cable. The current resolution I'm running at is 1920x1080@60hz, but when I look at the "List All Modes" in advanced display properties, there is one listed for 1280x720@120hz. I did test it out by switching the resolution to 1280x720 and in the advanced display settings it did say 120hz, but I don't want to sacrifice quality for smoothness, as this monitor should support 1920x1080@144hz. I've tried using the Nvidia control panel "Create Custom Resolution" but no save option appears after I press test with 144hz selected.
