How can i enable the 7.1 on headphones exactly ? Windows recognizes it strictly as a stereo device which is just false, also no option for 7.1 under spatial sound menu

Note - the headset is named "USB Audio device" :

  2. No Virtual Surround With New Headphone From Amazon

These headphones from Amazon (see Link) are supposed to have 7.1 virtual surround sound. It only shows as a stereo device in Windows 10 (build 18363.535)

It is a model EasyAcc G941 (or EasyAcc 7.1 Virtual Surround Sound USB Gaming Headphones).

    only Stereo (EasyAcc Driver)

7.1 (here MSI DS502 driver stock photo)

I have since found out it is sold under a variety of brands. For instance: MSI DS502 and by SADES.

I tried installing all these drivers (and of course the EasyAcc driver) and they are identical except for the brand logo. The driver is always a C-Media driver with version 8.1.12.26 and a driver date from 2015. All the controls are locked down or invisible except for stereo left/right volume control. In Windows 10, it shows as a stereo device in control panel.

How can I make this work with 7.1 surround sound?

Update: I've found the missing controls:

Needed to right click the speaker symbol. So, completely counter intuitive. Like so many apps from Asian hardware manufacturers. Reminds me of my GeForce over-clocking tool.

However now it still registers in Windows as a stereo device. How can any app or game output to it in 7.1? I don't think it can.

I guess my question now is: Any headphones with virtual surround should register in Windows as a 5.1 or 7.1 device. Is this correct?

  3. 2 desktops, 1 surround and one not?

I have 3 displays setup for surround, so my desktop spans all 3 and windows 10 see's it as one screen. I want to know if its possible (and how to do it) to setup a second virtual desktop that is not spanned across all 3 screens. So that windows 10 see's
one virtual desktop in surround and the other as 3 separate monitors.

    is this even possible?

    Surround Sound on PC

There are two factors that will enable the 7.1 Surround sound. Hence I also have Dolby Atmos Supported 7.1 sound at my home as 7+1 surround sound system, I can say that it is either a windows update issue or driver issue. We verified that's it is not windows
update hence the update that causes problem is not installed yet the driver part still leaves me some question marks. Those Options on Spatial sound enable the output to be anything more than just 2.0, so if the output is supported including output device
the option will be available. Its just a mismatch between software and the hardware of the Headset.

I had the issue where my 7.1 stoped working providing me with surround sound yet was able to get it back removing the update that caused it.

I could now suggest to Uninstall audio driver entirely any available in windows safe mode, including the Razer Software and then restart windows to boot up Normally and allow windows to install the basic drivers.

If windows doesn't recognize it then update it manually in device manager. Let Windows install the basic drivers for both the Sound Card and the Headset.

Let's see if this will enable the option.

PS: As long as you are not using the 3.5 Audio jack as connection, These steps should help out at a point.

    Sincerely
