Windows 10: No Access to Pin, Windows Update issues and all round Catch 22

So I downloaded the latest Windows 11 updates and they devastated my computer. Halfway through had a message saying "Something went wrong" and now I've been logged out of my Admin account. I can't log into my admin account as "Something has happened and your PIN isn't available". Luckily, there's another account on my computer but without the permissions of the admin, there's not really much I can do. When attempting to "Set up my pin" - on my admin account, it takes me to a small screen that says "Search for app in store?" Citing I need to install an app for this task.Things I've tried:Loggin

Remove items from Quick access.

I would suggest you to follow the below steps.

• Right click on the file or folder.
• Select the option “unpin from the quick access”

To pin items to an item already on the quick access bar.

Follow the below steps.

I would suggest you to create folder in the desktop screen & place all the files or folder which need to pin to the quick access.

• Open the quick access.
• Select the Desktop option.
• Right click on the folder & select the option “pin to quick access”

Pinning User Folder to Quick Access pins wrong folder

Do not worry we will help you with this issue.

I suggest you to sign out from the current user account, restart the computer, sign-in and check with the status of this issue. As this might be a temporary issue.

I suggest you to install all the pending updates on your device and check if it helps.

Steps:

• Connect to the internet.
• Press Windows key and type updates.
• Click on Check for updates.
• Under Windows Updates, click on Check for updates.
• Try to install the updates being shown.

Unable to access PIN after performing the Anniversary Update on Windows 10

Provide us additional information to assist you better with accessing the PIN on your device:

• 
  What is the complete error code/ error message while trying to access the PIN?
  
• 
  Where you able to see any other log-in password option on the lock screen?
  

I suggest you to try using the password on your lock screen and check if it helps. Also, try to access the user profile from the web browser on different computer and check if user credentials matches.

If the issue persists on the web browser: I suggest you to refer to the below link about: Why can't
you sign in? and try to reset the password. Try the new password on the computer and check if it helps.

If not this might be an issues on the computer, try the troubleshooting steps suggested by
Wasim Asad on August 18, 2015 and check if it resolves your issue.

When trying to sign into Windows 10
for the first time, I get the error “That password is incorrect.”
