Windows 10: No audio after updating nvidia gpu drivers

I updated my NVIDIA drivers, and now no audio output device is installed and i cant redownload geforce experience, i also tried installing realtek drivers which didnt work either, how do i fix this

Windows 10 CPU usage 100% when Nvidia GPU enabled

I've had the same problem, and have exactly the same GPU model. I was able to set the drivers back to factory default, but any update I've tried (including the most recent) causes the massive cpu usage. I've contacted tech support for both Nvidia and Asus,
and followed all the steps they suggested, with no luck.

 

NVIDIA Driver Install Fails

I managed to install the driver only, which is OK for me.

Running the setup.exe in Safe-Mode didn't work.

So, I followed these steps:

1. Restart into safe mode
   
2. Open device manager
   
3. Find your GPU and right-click it, then select "Update Driver Software"
   
4. Click "Browse my computer for driver software"
   
5. Tick "Include Sub-Folders"
   
6. Navigate to the directory where the NVIDIA download extracted the setup files to, and click OK.
   
7. If it was successful, restart normally, and enjoy using a proper graphics driver.
