Windows 10: No audio device installed or detected. I can't seem to fix it.

So my laptopHP 15-DW3xxx, windows 11 keep saying there's no audio device installed & I've tried a bunch of fixes that really can't seem to work;- installed new driverslicenced drivers since they're from HP support Assistant - also manually downloaded and installed the drivers- Audio troubleshooter keep saying no audio device was found yet proposes no reason why it isn't found? nor fixes.- checked the sound output device but there's actually no option to even choose from which means it doesn't even recognize the audio system- tried adding legacy hardware device manager - action - add l

Since you uninstalled the Intel Display audio and you no longer have audio, that suggests you are using HDMI (??) If this is the case then the Realtek is not being used and not causing your problem.

First step as mentioned is to reinstall the Intel Display Audio.

 

After a clean re-install of Windows 10, no audio devices are detected. How can this be fixed?

As you receive the error message: Audio services not responding', this might have occurred due to the audio services.

I suggest you to restart the service, set it to automatic and check if it helps.

Step 1: Stop the Windows Audio service.

• Press Windows Key + R on the keyboard and type
  services.msc, Services window gets opened.
• Search for Windows Audio service, right click on it and click on
  Stop.
• Restart the computer.

Step 2: Start the service and set it to automatic:

• Press Windows Key + R on the keyboard and type
  services.msc, Services window gets opened.
• Search for Windows Audio service, right click on it and click on
  Properties.
• Start the service, set
  Startup type to Automatic.

Also, I suggest you to download the audio drivers from the manufacturer's website, install the drivers manually and check if it helps.

I've tried every step that was suggested, still getting no audio output device installed.
