No Audio Device is installed - Windows 11

Ever since I upgraded to Win 11, my laptop has been behaving erratically. I really do not want to roll back at this moment as I have a lot of data stored on my laptop that I do not want to lose.I have been having issues with my keyboard, where during boot, I could enter bios and select os to boot. but once windows started, the keyboard would not operate. I removed my driver as suggested elsewhere on this forum and rebooted and it resolved my keyboard issue.HOWEVER, my sound icon now has a cross on it saying no device installed. I assumed it was a driver fault and removed all device drivers and

  3. No Audio Output Device is Installed

    Hi,

You will need to select Windows 8 from the drop down list while installing the driver in compatibility mode.

I would suggest you to try setting the speaker as default audio output by following the steps below and check if it helps.

    1. Right click on the sound icon on the right bottom corner of the taskbar.

    2. Select "playback devices".

    3. If "speaker" is not set as the default device, highlight it and click "set as default".

    5. Save the changes.

    Let us know the result.

    Numerous audio devices - why?

Looks like you have audio drivers installed for your AMD card. If you don't use it, you should be able to just uninstall that aspect of AMD drivers. I don't use the Audio through my Nvidia card, so I just don't install that driver.

Or, just ignore them as you suggest.
