  1. no audio from c/sub

I would like to hook up a rx-v640rds to my pc. I want to use 3 3.5mm to RCA cables to make the connection to have 5.1 surround. Line out to Mainrear to surroundc/sub to sub woofer and centerbut as far as i know c/sub isnt sending any audio apart from when i test the center or subwoofer. Then i hear audio from them but otherwise not. I don't know wether rear is work because i haven't been able to hook up those speakers to the rx-v640rds. Because the cables for those are is still in the wall downstairs for the moment. What could i do to resolve this issue?some specs of my pc that might be usef

    :)

Separate C/Sub not working with 2.0 speakers - realtek

OS Name Microsoft Windows 10 Pro
    Version 10.0.17763 Build 17763
    Driver: Realtek Audio (2018-09-14 10.0.17763.1)
    Software: Realtek Audio Console

I'm using separate speakers and C/Sub. The speakers are plugged in correctly and work. The C/Sub are part of a single unit and are plugged into the C/Sub jack. In the Realtek control panel I have chosen 5.1 so that I can see the C/Sub. The sound test passes, I'm able to hear all connected speakers correctly. But when testing the configuration with various apps I only hear sounds from the speakers, not the C/Sub.

    Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3 (Realtek) - No bass/sub-woofer

    • Speaker Setup plays all speakers fine
    • Applications do not play any bass through subwoofer (or really, at all)
    • Custom built PC using Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3 motherboard onboard audio.
    • Windows 10 fresh install
    • Tried latest driver from Gigabyte, Realtek, and Microsoft
    • Windows "default" driver does play bass through sub-woofer, but audio stutters and is quiet.

Not sure what else is relevant to mention; I've tried following various posts with suggestions to fix this, with no success. I've been at this for quite a few hours and am very frustrated.

Please let me know if you have any questions, or suggestions on how to resolve
