Windows 10: No Audio on new pc

Brand new custom built PC, dual monitors, sound works fine when I plug in a headset, but the monitors have sound output capabilities and I cannot for the life of me get them to work, I've gone through all of my drivers, but they're all supposedly up to date, the troubleshooting program hasn't done a thing.


Sound will show on the volume mixer but not actually output.

• Click View all.
• Select Recording Audio.
• Follow the steps to troubleshoot Recording Audio.

We can't find an audio device for your PC.

I suggest you run the sound troubleshooter by following the steps below:

• Type “troubleshooting” in search box and press Enter.
• Click on View All on top left pane.
• Click on Playing audio from the list and follow the on-screen prompt for troubleshooting.

Audio not working
