Windows 10: No Audio Output is installed [Tried everything I found online]

Hi,
So I ran into this problem where my audio just stopped working a couple of days ago and I've been trying to fix it ever since and nothing worked. I followed the tutorial, update driver, disable and enable, uninstall driver, download new drivers from the manufacturer. I recently checked the file property and it says that "Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)



Object Name not found."
So I googled that, followed some more tutorials and it still didn't work, I checked the file events in device manager and it shows "device install requested" and "Device HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0255&SUBSYS_10431800&REV_1000\4&10cd8ba&4&0001 requires further installation." googled that and ended up with the same thing. Anything I should do? I really need this for online classes and I can't really afford a new laptop. Thanks in advance!

Hi,

You will need to select Windows 8 from the drop down list while installing the driver in compatibility mode.

I would suggest you to try setting the speaker as default audio output by following the steps below and check if it helps.

1. Right click on the sound icon on the right bottom corner of the taskbar.

2. Select "playback devices".

3. If "speaker" is not set as the default device, highlight it and click "set as default".

5. Save the changes.
