Windows 10: No Bitlocker

I am unsure if this is applicable here, however, it is about security.

I want to encrypt a drive and thought I would use Windows Bitlocker, I can't locate it on windows 10.

Is there a substitute for bitlocker on Windows 10? *Cool

Here are the different icon adornments for hard drives that may appear

Adornment
Meaning

Windows logo (may be combined with other adornments)
System drive.

Locked padlock
BitLocker locked: Volume is inaccessible.

Unlocked padlock
BitLocker on: Drive is encrypted and keys are protected.

Unlocked padlock with yellow warning triangle
BitLocker is suspended: Drive is encrypted but everyone has access. This icon is also used to indicate the BitLocker is pre-provisioned.

How can Toshiba assist me with a Microsoft Bitlocker concern?

There is nothing wrong with my Toshiba product. There is nothing Toshiba can do.

Again, I can't access my Bitlocker Recovery key but I have my Bitlocker ID key - my question to the community is the following...is there any way to access my Bitlocker Recovery Key if I have the Bitlocker ID Key?

You need Windows 10 pro for bitlocker. It doesn't come with Windows home.

 

If you have Windows 10 Professional, it's easy to find. Right click on the C drive and "bit locker" option will be right there.
