Windows 10: No bluetooth,.I have gone through all the settings .

Hi I have an old Acer laptop . I have put in new harddrive , but now there is no bluetooth,.I have gone through all the settings . Device manager -it is not there. not in hiddenI have looked in Services -changed to automatic- still no. I have looked for the drivers on Intel bluetooth. I have tried to download the driver from Intel bluetooth driver- then error message. on installation. I have looked on the Acer site but it is not accepting my SNID.or S/N

My Bluetooth is gone

Hi,

I would suggest you to run the Hardware and devices troubleshooter:

• Search Troubleshooting using Cortana.
• Under Control Panel Home click View all.
• In the list option, select Hardware and devices.
• Click Next and follow the on-screen instruction.

You can also try to start Bluetooth service and set it automatic by following this steps;

• a. Press Windows key + R on the keyboard.
• b. Type “services.msc” without quotes and press
  Enter.
• c. Right click on Bluetooth support service and click on
  Properties.
• d. Set the Startup type as Automatic and then click Start under
  Service status.
• e. Click on OK.

Why did the startup window get cleared?

I didn't missed any step, the list was gone and gone , even after using lot of programs the programs were not listed in that list.

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with Devices. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your hardware and devices.

Refer these steps:

• Press Windows key +X, select Control panel

• Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons
• Click on troubleshooting and click on the
  view all option on the left panel
• Run the Hardware and devices troubleshooter
  

I suggest you to update the latest Bluetooth drivers from the manufacturer web site and install

To resolve this issue:

• Right-click the Start menu, and select Device Manager.
• Expand Bluetooth
• Right-click on Bluetooth Radio and select
  Update Driver Software…
• Select Search automatically for updated driver software
