Windows 10: No camera detected on Laptop.

Recently my laptop's built-in camera has stopped working. In settings, all apps are set to use camera. Discord, Camera app, Zoom, Google Meet, etc. all detect no camera even though it is built right into the machine. I have tried going to Start > Device manager and finding my camera to upgrade the driver, but it does not appear there either. Hopefully this has an easy fix. Is it possible that this is a hardware issue instead of a software issue?

settings to see if the camera access is turned on. Kindly follow the steps below to check the camera privacy settings:

• Press the Windows key + I to open the Settings app.
• Near the top of the Settings app window is the search box, kindly type the word "webcam" or "camera".
• From the list of results choose Camera privacy settings.
• Make sure that "Let apps use my camera" toggle is set to On.

Laptop Camera not detected

I opened up Skype and it says that there is no camera detected. I keep reading about updating drivers, but in device manager there is no camera to select. Please help. I've been trying for days to get the camera back. Any suggestions?
