Windows 10: No colours, lines, boxes, everything is black and white.

I have just installed Windows 11 and now I have a very strange lay out and things are missing like lines, cases, colours, for example I can't tick boxes because boxes don't show up, I can't play wordle because the colours don't show, so no yellow or green, everything stays white. I have tried several things but none of them have worked. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide, Annemieke.

screen turns white then black with a coloured box

Hello. Our laptop often locks up, but we are still able to move cursor(just not able to click anything, nothing selects, everything on the desktop is frozen but the cursor). If I click a few times it will make a beep sound each time, and cursor buffers
after a while. It will do various things but often, after a short time, the screen goes white, then black, then a small box appears(same position and size each time) with coloured dots inside, and the pattern will flicker sometimes. At some point it plays
a familiar sounding tune, that may be related to sign in screen or sounds windows related anyway.

I normally turn it off at the switch at this point, but one time I decided to wait, and the sign in screen suddenly appeared a minute or two later, but the coloured box remained. I pressed sign in, then the lock up happened again after reaching windows. I waited
again until it went to sign in screen and i clicked sign in, and it let me stay in windows for a long time, the annoying box was still there. I tried prtscrn and pasted in paint, the box didn't appear in the picture though, and it covers everything like a
watermark(every window passes under it, not on top, but it did fade a bit while in windows, not as clear as on the black screen). Everything is fine on reboot. I can post pics of it if needed.

One time the taskbar remained during the black screen and then suddenly there was a thick white boarder around everything on it.

 

Black and White to Colour

My screen on my Dell Windows 10 laptop is black and white. I would like to change it back to colour. I have been trying to go through control panel and display settings but I must be missing something.

 

Text compose box colour customisation

I am visually impaired and find it easier to use a black background with white text as on the WP7 menus. Is it possible to set the text compose box to be white on black? On the Youtube videos I've watched the text compose box is light coloured with black
text.
