Windows 10: No default save to desktop option available" I can't even find the icon any longer

This was responded to in Feb of 2020 and I tried to follow the fix instructions but no luck trying to "paste" a command into the registry. Also, a few days ago I had help Case #: 1025387468 and thought the problem was fixed, but it was not. All this came about after I had to do a reset because Widows would not finish loading an update. After the update the view with File Explorer has much less in it.I have tried all the standard steps going through Settings, but no option exits to make the Desktop the default save destination. I know in the big picture this is probably a nit, but I miss hav

Remove Linux Desktop Icons

I am not sure whether this will work (Ubuntu does not have icons like that on the desktop by default), but I suggest opening the trash bin and sweeping the icons into the window showing the trash bin.

 

Desktop Icons Won't Stay Put

As per the issue description I understand that you are facing issues with desktop icons.

I suggest you try the following step in order to arrange the icons.

• Right click on the desktop.
• Click on view
• Check the option auto arrange icons.
