Windows 10: No devices visible on LAN after latest cumulative Win 10 update

Can anyone shed any light on why, after cumulative update version 21H1 for x64-based Systems (KB5003637) installed 2021-06-08, I lost all connections on my LAN? I have five discoverable devices on the LAN, four PCs, two laptops (all running Win10 pro) and two Synology NAS's. All are connected through ethernet cables using fixed IP addresses with Netbios disabled on all of the network adapters. With the exception of the two NAS's, all of the PCs and laptops were discoverable by each other (WSD discovery) and could connect to shared content on each other. I have always had issues with the two NAS's and so connect to these using their IP addresses. The two laptops and three of the PCs were updated more-or-less at the same time. After their update, all connections were lost except to the PC for which the update was set to be installed overnight. The next day, its visibility to the other devices had disappeared and it showed no connections. Any help gratefully appreciated Windows version: 21H1 (OS Build 19043, 1052)

Latest Windows Update - windows now reports its WAN address rather than its LAN address on my LAN

• Which update are you referring to? Is it cumulative update?

If you’re referring to cumulative update then I would suggest you to uninstall the updated and check if it helps.

Follow the steps below to uninstall the updates.

Step 1: To uninstall an unwanted Windows Update:

• 
  Type “View Installed Updates” in the Search box and then click on View Installed Updates – Control Panel from the Search results.
  
• 
  To uninstall the unwanted update, select it from the list and then click Uninstall.
  

If the issue persist follow steps 2.

Step 2: Perform System Restore.

Since the issue occurred after installing the update, I suggest you to perform system restore.

Important Note: Restoring won’t affect your personal files, but it will remove apps, drivers and updates installed after the restore point was made.

Good LAN party games?

However, I found Swat4 to actually be a pretty fun LAN game, especially at smaller LAN parties.

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to go to Manufacturer web site and download and install the latest chipset driver for your device and check if it helps.

Step 2: I suggest you to check for the Windows updates and install all the updates.

  Press Windows logo key +R, enter
  MS-settings: and then press OK. This opens Settings.
  
• 
  In Settings, go to Update & security >
  Windows Update, and then select Check for updates. Install any available updates and restart your PC if required.
