Windows 10: No display in windows mail

When I checked my windows 10 mail this morning, the app started as usual, but there was no display- just the blue-framed window. The computer has had no previous issues. I tried shutting the P.C down, restarting with the same result. I regularly check for and install windows updates. Other than deleting the mail program itself, is there another solution I can try? Thanks in advance.

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

I did that to no avail, then I ran WSReset.exe; now I'm good on all 3, Mail, Calendar and People! *Confused

This issue might have occurred due to an outdated Mail app on your computer. For us to identify the root cause of this issue, we would like to know if what is the current Windows version and build number of your computer. Meanwhile, we suggest that you uninstall
and reinstall the Mail app by following these steps:

• Click on Start.
• Type Windows in the search box and right click on the
  Windows PowerShell and select Run as administrator.
• Type these on the PowerShell window and press
  Enter:
  • Get-AppxPackage *windowscommunicationsapps* | Remove-AppxPackage
• Once that you have uninstalled the Mail app, install it from the Windows Store.
