Windows 10: no file information button on photos

I am trying to view file information on a photo I have emailed from my I phone. Normally can right click and file information appears and then can edit the date but the file information does not show up anyway for me to do this, does anyone have any ideas?

(Mick). I apologize for the delay in my response. I am glad that the issue was resolved for you. We appreciate you for getting back to us with the status of the issue and the resolution, as this may help other users with
a similar issue.

For users who are still facing an issue with the Photos app, I would suggest an uninstallation and reinstallation of the app from the Microsoft store. To do that, you may follow the steps below.

1. Click on the Start button, type Powershell, right click on it and select
   Run as administrator, this will open Powershell.
2. Copy and paste the following command: Get-AppxPackage *photos* | Remove-AppxPackage
3. Press Enter, this will uninstall the Photos app.
4. Once the uninstallation is complete, open the Microsoft Store and
   Reinstall the
   Photos app.
5. Launch the Photos app and check if the issue still persists.

Unfortunately the issue still persists on both the desktop and the laptop after performing the uninstallation and reistallation.

There are several reason why this issue occurs. This could be a possible settings issue on Windows Photo app. For the first step resolution, we suggest that you perform a

System File Checker to scan and repair a possible missing or corrupted system files.

You may also try to reset the Windows Photo app by following the steps below:

• Press windows button + R
• Type: %appdata%\..\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Windows.Photos_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState
• Delete all the contents of that folder

Note: If you follow the Windows Photo app reset it will go back to its original state. To avoid missing or corrupted files, we recommend that you backup the files.
