Windows 10: No files displayed in file history

I've set up file history and I can view my files directly on my backup drive, but the File History browser/interface doesn't display any files or folders. Screenshot below. What's happening?

Recent File List

for the tweakers out there, In programs like Paint and Flash Stand Alone- is there a command that can be implemented into the registry to stop Recent File List History from displaying on the File Menu of such programs. Like a String, Key Etc? I like to keep my rig from prying eyes. I am using windows 7 pro 64bit.

 

File History Displays No Files to Restore

Hi,

There are several reasons why the files are not showing, like it is hidden or it is corrupted. Let us change some settings to view hidden files by following these steps:

• Type Folder options in the search box.
• Select File Explorer Options, then click View
  tab.
• Tick the radio button on Show hidden files, folders, and drives.
• Click Apply then OK.

Check your File History if the files will appear. You can follow the steps above to not to show hidden files.

File History not backing up any files

Thank you for the response. I had already checked that thread, but it hasn't helped me:

• The thread deals with Windows 8's implementation of File History, which is somewhat different to that of Windows 10.
• Most of the thread deals with setting up File History (which I have already done, precisely following the recommended steps). The third link in the thread might have been useful since it appears to link to a page that deals with troubleshooting File History
  (as opposed to setting it up), but unfortunately the link is dead.

Any further suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
