Windows 10: No Gapless Playback in Groove Music

    No Gapless Playback in Groove Music


    I still cannot listen to my music without Groove music adding an extra gap between tracks. It's small, meaning less than one second, but it is massive in musical terms.


    I've tried ripping my Pink Floyd CD's to ALAC, FLAC, WAV, WMA Lossless, and MP3. I have the same problem in all formats. Yes, I have the latest Windows 10 and I'm on a desktop PC. Yes, I have tried a fresh installation of the OS. I've had this problem for years.


    WMP12 will give me gapless playback but only in WAV and WMA Lossless formats.


    What's going on? Groove is supposed to have gapless playback since four years ago - okay, but in what formats?
