Windows 10: No Go Back Button On New Laptop That Downloaded Win 11 w/o Notification

I specifically purchased a new HP laptop that was supposed to have Windows 10 installed. I started the setup process and when it was done, I had Win 11, not 10, on the screen. There wasn't any prompt asking me if I wanted to install Win 11. I contacted HP tech support and they were no help. I watched videos about how to "go back". There is no "go back" button my computer and there's no Windows.old file either. The HP tech thought the laptop was probably shipped w/Win 11 instead of 10, but in a couple of places I saw Windows 10 as the operating system. I just got this and I shouldn't have to do

Yeah, thats not a solution she is interested in......I've suggested that course of action. Thanks though.

Just to clarify, I feel that there MUST be a step, or series of steps to turn off JUST the wireless notification sound. Thats what Im driving @ here.

At the moment the user has to manually check if he's got any emails or other stuff, by opening the start menu, but this let's him know as soon as he gets any, however here's the cool thing...it won't annoy the user with Big pop ups and sounds.
Plus if he's been AFK for a while, he'll see number of new notification's he's got in the meantime.

New Notification Button Not Working

These steps fixed my problem. However, on my desktop I did not successfully complete step 2. After running
dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth it returned an error asking for the path name to the files it needed. I didn't know what that was so I skipped step 2. and used step 3. I verified the powershell run as in step 4. This ultimately
fixed my problem on my desktop.

I was experiencing the same problem on my Dell Venue 11 PRO. All the steps succeeded and it is now running normally as well. Thanks for everything!!

I experienced the same problem i.e. "New Notifications" working for a few days but today the icon became unresponsive.

Step 2 returned an error 87, so I closed the command prompt window and reopened another. Proceeded directly to Step 3 ensuring I followed the instructions in Steps 3 and 4.

It worked!! When I click on my notifications icon, the notifications now pop up ( actually they pop down LOL)
