Windows 10: No HDMI signals before login screen after upgrading to windows 11 and hardware at the same time

Hi, Basically I can use my computer but there are issues I wish to fix. I am not sure where did the problem came from, and therefore is going to describe everything as detailed as possible to my knowledge... I am trying my best but am not a computer guy, but some medical student who just recently started using the linux Terminal in addition to R in windows. Please check at the very bottom some info you might find helpful to the situation.---I have recently upgraded to windows 11 from 10 after all the BIOS settings, following youtube, enabling this and that. It was an AsRock Fatal1ty Z370i with

no HDMI signal


I have an ASUS monitor and ASUS desktop with a graphics card not on board graphics. I have an HDMI cable from the monitor to the video card. Today for the first time while on the internet my screen froze and then went blue saying no HDMI signal. I tried everything but still no signal. I then tried my VGA cable and all was working. I then tried my HDMI cable again and it worked until this afternoon when I was watching a video on the internet and the screen froze and said no HDMI signal. also when this happened I could hear my fan running loudly. Any suggestions on what the problem could be?

 

HDMI no signal only during Boot

Hey Guys,

I've just built myself a new computer, all working well, however on boot my HDMI monitor receives no signal until Windows has fully loaded. It would receive signal to see the Bios screen pop up then go blank with no signal and then about 5 seconds later will receive signal and display the desktop.

I've now added a second monitor connected via DVI, even though this is not set as my primary monitor the bios screen displays on it and I can see the entire boot process through this monitor, it will then load to desktop of which a split second later my primary HDMI monitor will then receive signal and start to display.

It's not a massive issue but it's quite annoying, any suggestions?

I'm using a GTX 970 and Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit.

Is your Samsung T V shows in Device Manager?

Follow the steps below and check if that helps.

Run the Hardware and Devices Troubleshooter.

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with hardware and devices. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with the Mouse. Refer these steps:

• 
  Press Windows key + X, select
  Control Panel.
  
• 
  Change the view by option on the top right to
  Large icons.
  
• 
  Click on troubleshooting and click on the
  view all option on the left panel.
  
• 
  Run the Hardware and devices troubleshooter.
  
• 
  Restart your computer and check if the issue is resolved.

and check if that helps.
