  1. No Hotspot, no wireless connections

Hi, i found an issue with my PC where it cannot share hotspot. When looking online, most of the instructions said I should restart my device or install a driver. None of these work. Whenever I try to change something in the WiFi settings, the only thing showing is that I'm connected to Ethernet which I am, and I'm not sure if there might be something in that and nothing else. My PC doesn't connect to wireless connections such as routers or bluetooth. Screenshot. Please help, it's really annoying and it's been bugging me since I got my PC : My PC is MSI.

    :)

  2. Windows 10 Limited Wireless Connectivity - No list of external wireless hotspots

Thanks for the rapid response ...

I upgraded to Windows 10 last July and have not had any (noticeable) problems till last weekend when looking to connect to a wireless network outside my normal environment (none available - list empty even after manual setup of local wireless). I
have in the past used this computer to connect to third party paid wireless internet under Windows 10 - so it used to work!

I also forgot to mention that I had also tried:

    7) removing any VPN problems using Microsoft on-line suggestions

    8) blocked antivirus program and firewall (ESET)

On reading the link to Tony's suggestions I decided the best approach was to completely uninstall ESET and try again
    - once more no success ;-(

In summary, I have tried Tony's Method 0, Method 1, Method 2, Method 3 and Method 4 in addition to other random suggestions on the Net - all failed!

The driver appears to work OK as I can connect to my server, but I cannot see any list of nearby wireless hotspots.

My wireless /network settings are identical with another laptop sitting right next to this one. Same version and updates of Windows 10 - only difference seems to be hardware. I wonder if the hardware driver (which Windows suggest is the best available)
is having trouble with latest Windows 10 update(s)?

    Any other ideas?

mobile hotspot on Microsoft phone will not turn on

    I hope this helps.

To fix problems with Lumia and wireless hotspot, you need to disable Battery Saver by following these steps:

    1. Swipe down to open notifications screen and select All Settings.
    2. From the list of options select Battery saver.
    3. Locate Battery Saver switch and tap it to turn off Battery Saver.
After disabling Battery Saver feature your battery might drain a bit faster than before, but any issues with wireless hotspot should be completely resolved.

You might also be able to fix this problem simply by removing saved Wi-Fi networks.

For some reason saved Wi-Fi networks can interfere with your wireless hotspot and cause problems on your Lumia, and in order to fix this problem you need to delete all Wi-Fi connections from your device.

To do that, follow these steps:

    1. Go to Settings section.
    2. Tap on Wi-Fi and select the connection that you want to remove.
    3. Tap the Delete icon to delete the connection.
    4. Repeat the steps until you remove all saved Wi-Fi connections.

  4. No Hotspot, no wireless connections

Wifi turns off automatically when a device is connected to my hotspot

Whenever a device is connected to my hotspot the wifi is turning off automatically thereby stopping the hotspot.

To turn the Windows 10 hotspot on, in first step I have turned on the Wireless Network Connection as shown in the below image.

No Hotspot, no wireless connections [IMG]

After that I did following steps in Command Prompt(Admin) for hotspot
    1. netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=MyWiFi key=mypassword
    2. netsh wlan start hostednetwork

In netsh wlan show hostednetwork command, it shows the hotspot had started successfully as shown in the below image.

No Hotspot, no wireless connections [IMG]

But whenever a device is connected to this hotspot the wifi is turning off automatically thereby stopping the hotspot.

I have unchecked the Power management option i.e, Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.
All driver are updated to the latest versions.

    Please help
