  1. No Install button on Windows Store

    Hi all,
So I've just upgraded to Windows 10 and I can't seem to install any apps from the store, there is no Install button? I click on an app(facebook for example), the facebook app page loads but no Install button appears. Also the blue loading dots just keep spinning. Anyone else ran into this?
I've tried everything from wsreset.exe to cleaning out the C:/Windows/SoftwareDistribution folder. I've also tried refreshing the pc and deleting and re creating the user account with no success.

No install button on the windows store

    Hi Alpha834,

This could be related to corrupted system files as a result of an improper shut down of your device. We recommend that you change your Microsoft account to a Local user account and connect it back again to fix the issue.

Change your Microsoft account to Local User account in Windows 10

Kindly refer to Greg Carmack - Windows MVP's post in this link for
the steps to change your Microsoft account to a Local User account in Windows 10.

Connect to a Microsoft Account in Windows 10

After setting up your Windows login to a Local User account, you may now connect it again as a Microsoft account login. Refer to this wiki article created by
Andre Da Costa for the steps on How to: connect to a Microsoft
    Account in Windows 10
    .

Additionally, you can perform an SFC scan to check if there are any corrupted system files. Refer to these steps to perform an SFC scan:

    Method: SFC scan

    • Press the Windows key to open the Start Menu, type Command Prompt or cmd in
      the Search box.
    • Right-click on Command Prompt, and then click Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation,
type the password, or click Yes.
    • At the command prompt, type the following command: “sfc /scannow” and press enter.
    • After the process is finished, restart the computer.

Give us an update on the result and we will be glad to assist you further.

No install button on the windows store

I have been looking for a solution to my problem for a while but nothing seems to work. the Microsoft store was working earlier this morning while i was downloading a game and i accidentally shut down my computer when i turned it back on i loaded the Microsoft
store and it wouldn't load the 'Downloads and Updates' section so i went to the game i was downloading to see if i could reinstall it the the install button wouldn't show up for the 10 minute i was on the page. so i went looking for a solution.

I did the following but these didn't work:

    1.the Microsoft troubleshoot

    2.the win+r and typed wsreset and windowsstorereset.exe

3.the method 1 powershell command reset

Method 1: PowerShell Command to reset Applications.

    • Open an Elevated PowerShell prompt by pressing the Windows Key, typing PowerShell, then pressing Ctrl + Shift + Enter.
    • Paste the following command into PowerShell and execute it:

      Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

    4. i tried turning my computer on and off

5.i tried to figure out the " right click on my pc and go to management and see if the store was disabled" but couldn't figure it out

if someone has any other ways to help it would be much appreciated

I'm having exactly the same problem and can't find any site with a solution to the problem. Microsofts contact site is totally useless.

Try checking your time & date settings. I have the same problem regarding Window Store, though mine is not getting through the app page. I found out that I am on the wrong time zone and after correcting I can now use the Store properly.

Tried this also with no luck. I'm in the UK and all time zones are correctly set. It baffles me how a lot of people have a similar issue and no one seems to have a solid fix, not even Microsoft. This is the kind of issue that should be picked up during beta and user testing, not launch.

  9. There is no way to confirm it, but I think I was the first person to have this problem. I had this during mid-tech preview beta stage.
I contacted microsoft multiple times, they have confirmed it will be fixed soon via Windows update, check windows update from time to time, and you should automatically receive a fix when it is avalable. -

Either the Windows Store's search feature sucks, or there is no Facebook app available in the US, because I don't see it anywhere under the popular apps and searching for it produces no results.

  11. Anyone know a way to force download an app or app update without using the store? As I can't access the store I can't update the Xbox app.
