    I wiped it in Windows 10 (full uninstall, followed by CCleaner, reinstallation of the network adapter, running "sfc /scannow", reentering all settings).

    But I have it working now: I simply RE-installed the latest version of my VPN client on WIndows 10! LAN worked instantly again!

    This has fixed the issue for me. It appears any VPN clients need to be removed before upgrading.

    that might have been great to know before the upgrade, but what if we already made the move with cisco vpn?

    what other forum?

    You all have to check for missing drivers. When a missing driver is found, download a .exe installer of the driver and copy over it to the PC/TabletPC that has connection problems. Then run the installer from the affected device and reboot after a successful install.

    Can anyone provide a copy of the new Cisco client? I had the old one installed previously. So it should have been removed in windows 8 and shouldn't have been there in windows 10 but I'm guessing because of this mine isn't working.

    I have an older version of the Cisco VPN client as well...reverting to 8.1 and removing and then going back to 10...will post results.

    Same issue, had 2 Cisco (AnyConnect + Cisco VPN 5.0 fat(ter) client). Trying the downgrade/remove/re-upgrade approach. Will post back.

    I have the same problem. I am operating with lenovo yoga 2 pro. I had a cisco vpn anyconnect client installed on windows 8.1 .
    Now i don't even have the symbol for wlan to switch on or off. The only symbol/switch i have is the on flight mode. I also tried to go online with an ethernet adapter to usb 2.0, but with no result at all. No internet connection possible.

    My ultrabook is operating with "intel wireless n-7260" modul. Hope there is a solution coming soon. Need my notebook desperatly for masters thesis.

    I tried to uninstall the VPN client in Win 10 but it fails saying the OS is corrupted. Do I need to install the new version without uninstalling the old one? What is the new version? I'm ready to revert back to Win 8, uninstall and reinstall 10 but hope I would not have to.

    Yes ... and I knew it was going to be a problem after my last Windows 8 upgrade fiasco (desktop). D'oh. I also have no network adapters after the Windows 10 upgrade from Windows 8 (laptop)

    Yes, for me too! VPN client present, no network adapters present.

    I wasn't able to uninstall VPN client, so I guess I need to revert the upgrade...

    Same issue here. Notebook Dell Vostro 5470, with various VPN clients installed, including Cisco. I think I will need to revert to 8.1 too.
