Windows 10: No internet due to 0x79 error, ethernet lacks a valid IP configuration?

Hello everyone. Today I lost my internet connection Ethernet on my laptop and have been unable to regain it. When I connect the laptop to my iphone through wifi everything works fine. The windows diagnostics tool tells me that Ethernet 2 lacks a valid IP-configuration.

The logbook shows a bunch of 0x79 error with the Dhcp-client as the source.


I've tried a bunch of steps from this guide but to no avail https://windowsreport.com/ethernet-valid-ip-configuration-windows-10/ and updated the network drivers etc.


I'm unsure of which information beyond this could be relevant to provide.

Thank you for the link. It may have solved my problem.

From configuration in Windows 10 [FULL FIX]

The keyword being "Ethernet". I'm using wifi not cable Ethernet connection when I get that error in trouble shooting. I assume that is the reason for the apparent 'error'.

Am I correct?
Otherwise, for pasting code, is it ?
