    No internet on just my computer


    Recently I’ve just moved into a new house. My family and I have a really nice internet plan, and it connects to all the devices perfectly fine (like my phone that I’m using Reddit on for instance).

    But the only problem is that my computer just doesn’t see to want to work with it, it worked fine at our old house. It keeps saying that DNS problem

    Computer is connected but it appears that the DNS server isn’t connected

    Or something along those lines. The internet ti DOES give me, is super super slow, and can hardly be classified as working internet. Anyone have this problem and know how to fix it? I’ve gone through so many YouTube videos. I’ve done the control panel steps with the internet’s properties, I’ve done the CMD commands, and I’ve reset and restarted my router and pc. Nothing seems to work!!’

    Is it possible to share internet connection via remote desktop?

    RDP is not capable of Internet sharing, so you can't share Internet using RDP with standard applications. There are many way to share Internet from a Windows box to another one. I suggest you to use VPN. You should do following steps:

    1. Run VPN Server on your server with unlimited internet access
    2. Connect to VPN server from your limited computer

    1. Open Admin command and type: ipconfig

      No internet on just my computer [​IMG]
    2. Win+X->Control Panel->Netwok and Sharing Center
      Follow the screen shot. This should disable internet access from this PC but allows access to local device(s)
      NOTE: Use the IP & Subnet Mask from step 1. Leave Default gateway & DNS Server blank
