Windows 10: No Internet on my DC/DHCP

Discus and support No Internet on my DC/DHCP in Windows 10 Network and Sharing to solve the problem; All my workstation computers in my office domain have internet but the DC/DHCP server does not have internet.     No Internet on my DC/DHCP


    All my workstation computers in my office domain have internet but the DC/DHCP server does not have internet. There is a yellow sign on the network adapter. The DC/DHCP server is configured on static IP.

    Perplexed on no internet with DHCP DNS, but full internet with manual  

    The first screenshot is as it should be with both DNS and IP set to DHCP, and nothing in the advanced DNS settings.

    This screenshot is what I had to change back to manual DNS otherwise I had no internet to post this reply.

    ADDENDUM I just found the problem I had IPV6 disabled but as soon as I enabled IPV6, and with IPV4 DNS and IP set to DHCP, everything worked, so I'm guessing that IPV4 DHCP DNS isn't working, but IPV6 DHCP is working and windows is using IPV6. Oh and my router is the:- D-Link Amplifi HD Media Router 2000 DIR-827

    Clients in domain couldn't access internet after assigning by DHCP server

    I wonder why the client PC which is joined to DC after assigning IP Address from DHCP couldn't access the internet. Please find the below following for my labs:

    1- On Domain controller (Windows Server 2019), with DNS & AD installed and IP Address is 192.168.10.10

    2- On DHCP member (Windows Server 2019), joined to DC and has 2 NICs one for 192.168.10.12 internally and other for IP 192.168.8.188 + Gateway 192.168.8.1 ( obtained IP from router to go over internet ) so I able to ping 8.8.8.8 so I installed DHCP role on its DHCP member and configured scope then I added in scope option for gateway or 003 router option ( 192.168.8.188 & 192.168.8.1 ) and 006 DNS Server option (192.168.10.10)

    3- On Client PC (Windows 10 Enterprise), I made ipconfig command release & renew and took with IP Address 192.168.1.21 and pingable to DC then I joined this client PC to DC. After restarting PC, I show the NIC IP information and found that gateway 192.168.8.188 & 192.168.8.1. Then I tried to browse or ping google 8.8.8.8 but appeared request timed out from CMD.

    May I know what I have missed to get clients access internet?

    Corrupted system files may be the possible reason why you received the error code 1012 dc. To efficiently assist you, we'd like to gather more information:

    • What specific task are you trying to do?
    • When did you get error code 1012 dc?
