    I recently just completed a move where I got a new modem, and new router. After a few days of it running, it completely lost internet but retained connection to the network, no matter on ethernet or Wi-Fi, and it refused to connect to a newly created guest network, as some people said that was the issue that plagued them. I only had no internet on my PC, and more specifically, after some testing, my specific installation of windows, meaning either a driver which I updated, along with my BIOS, although it could still be the issue or some sort of firewall or security is blocking it.     • How are you trying to add the favorites to desktop?
    I suggest you to try the below steps to save the favorites on desktop and check if it helps.

    • Open the Internet Explorer and minimize the screen.
    • Then go to the favorites tab and then drag any favorites that you have saved to the desktop.
    • Once you get the favorites items \ folders then you can open the favorites and check if it is opening.
