Windows 10: no internet via wifi range extender

Discus and support no internet via wifi range extender in Windows 10 Network and Sharing to solve the problem; windows 10 installed major updates this morning now I cannot get onto the internet via my range extender this has always been intermittent in the past...     windows 10 installed major updates this morning now I cannot get onto the internet via my range extender this has always been intermittent in the past but could get it to work eventually I have run the connection diagnostics and its telling me there are components missing and will not connect?

    if I move rooms so that I am directly linked to the router instead of the extender everything works fine.

    Sharing the internet u recive with wifi on ur E72 with ur pc

    Well, it is possible to get internet from mobile, but I'm not sure if that's the case for WiFi connection, Nokia PC have an option which will let you to use your phone's as modem via Bluetooth, but you can't use your mobile as router or WiFi extender.



    IMO get a WiFi range extender!

    Hey guyz

    Please help me out in setting up the network on window 10 to extend the wifi range

    1. I have a window 10 laptop connected to the Wifi internet of the building

    2. i have a old wifi modem connected to the pc through ethernet (lan) port

    ( my modem has only one LAN Port )

    Now what i want to do is to connect the pc and the old wifi modem with ethernet cable and then share the wifi internet to modem via windows so that modem can further extend the wifi range.

    please let me know if it possible.

    Ran troubleshooting and did it lists what exactly was missing, if it works using the routers wifi without the extender then i would believe you found the issue being the extender since it has been intermittent in the past. Been issues here with WiFi extenders, doubt the Windows update caused it.

    Should have said all other devices work through extender I pad I phones etc
    this has been intermittent since I upgraded to Windows 10 it would work fine if I left it for around 30 mins and then shut down and powered up but after the update this morning it does not want to know.

    Same similar issue here if you read, seemed to be the extender as all other devices worked fine to.
