    No Keyboard and Mouse Responses after Sysprep of Win10 x64 LTSB 1607

    I am trying to create a Win10 x64 (LTSB, 1607) image for deployment. After all the configuration work was done, I tried to Sysprep the machine by using the command "Sysprep.exe /generalize /oobe /reboot /quiet". But after the server booted up and the screen showed the language selection page, I found the the Keyboard and Mouse did not work anymore. I tried to plug USB keyboard and mouse in different USB ports, and all of them did not work.

    I have also tried to go to Audit mode first and then do Sysprep with OOBE and Generalize. Still not working. I was stuck here for several days. Any suggestions? Thanks!

    I also found a similar issue was reported here. The solution is to change 1607 to 1703 (latest Win10 build). However, that is not a viable solution for me. :-( https://community.spiceworks.com/top...keyboard-mouse

    :)

    Solution is found. By adding below lines in the unattend sysprep answer file:

    <settings pass="generalize">
    <component name="Microsoft-Windows-PnpSysprep" processorArchitecture="amd64" publicKeyToken="31bf3856ad364e35" language="neutral" versionScope="nonSxS" xmlns:wcm="http://schemas.microsoft.com/WMIConfig/2002/State" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">
    <PersistAllDeviceInstalls>true</PersistAllDeviceInstalls>
    </component>
    </settings>

    That file would be in C:\Windows\panther folder, or could be anywhere when using the command:
    sysprep.exe /generalize /oobe /quiet /reboot /unattend:path\answerfile
