No keyboard or mouse works after restoring previous build

About a week ago my PC installed the annual update and it ended up hanging on a black screen with the spinning circles so I restored to my last build since I don't have my backups anymore. When I finally restored I got to my login screen but couldn't do anything as both my keyboard and mouse weren't working. I tried a ps2 keyboard and several other keyboards without any success so I used my iPad to remote into my PC to see what's up. I checked my connect devices and realized that any USB device I connected worked fine with the exception of all keyboards and mice. Every single one shows a driver error once connected and I see in device manager human interface devices has four USB input devices with errors.

Im getting close to reformatting from scratch at this point but worried this might happen again, has anyone experienced a similar problem?

    :)

  2. Latest Mouse & Keyboard Center doesn't see Ergonomic Mouse and Keyboard

After installing latest (3.0.337.0) version of Mouse and Keyboard Center on Windows 10 (Build 15063.413), I don't see my mouse and keyboard there. They're working, however no customizations are available.

They were present in previous version of this product (2.8).

After upgrading to Windows 10 Creator 1703 mouse does not work correctly

I have twice done the Win 10 upgrade to version 1703 but each time my mouse will not work properly. It will not double click to open a folder etc and anything I select will not stay selected. I have altered all the mouse settings, changed mice (wired mouise
or wireless mouse) etc but to no avail and have had to restore back to previous build each time. The only way to get it working is to restore back to previous build.
