Windows 10: No longer able to customize Quick Access Toolbar in File Explorer Windows 10, Build 19041.630

Used to be able to customize the Quick Action Toolbar in File Explorer and no longer able to do so. I use the Preview Pane a lot but frequently need to turn it off. There used to be an option on the Quick Access Toolbar's pull-down arrow to "Customize "Quick Action Toolbar". How do I get it back or why did they take it away? I'm really tired of companies 'improving' features that made programs successful by taking them out of their apps without customers requesting it! Please put them back and stop doing it. Instead try adding the features the customers are requesting.

Hi, lacking such an option, I wondered if there was anything sensible in the registry - pure optimism of course.

appears to show where the data for the toolbar is stored. Unfortunately it does not look helpful, much as you might expect. Nor would you wish to be accessing such data in any case.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
