Windows 10: No longer can sign in to computer after update

I only have on account on my HP computer and i created the password when i first got it years ago never changed it. Now i can no longer log into my computer with it. Its asking for my microsoft account password and i dont even remember it. I never had to use that before it was always my created password through the computer not Microsoft. I cant reset becuz i have something call 2 step verification that i must have set up years ago but i no longer have the phone number for the second step verification. Why is it not letting me use my orignal login password. NEED HELP

There's a possibility that you are currently signed in on your computer using your local account. For us to sort this out, we suggest that you sign in with your Microsoft account instead. Follow these steps:

• Open Settings > Accounts > Your email and accounts.
• Select Sign in with a Microsoft account instead.
• Follow the on-screen instructions.

Once signed in with your Microsoft account on your computer, try signing into the Windows Store app.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.
