No 'look for another app' option for TEL link Windows 11 Home

I want to make the softphone application I have Rogers Unison my default TEL software. It appears under the application list see attached, and is already the default VCCS software, and no default TEL application is set. When I select the 'choose a default' option, it brings up a list, none of which are Rogers, and the only option I have for alternatives to the suggestions is to go browse apps in the MS store. What happened to the 'look for another app' option? The link isn't an application so I can't right click on it and choose what software I want to use to open it.I am using Windows 11

    :)

  2. No ' Choose where to get apps' option on Windows 11

In Windows 11, the option to "Choose where to get apps" has been relocated to a different section in the settings. Here's how you can access it:

    1. Open the Start menu by clicking on the Windows icon in the taskbar.
    2. Click on the "Settings" icon, which resembles a gear and is located above the Power button.
    3. In the Settings window, click on "Apps" in the left-hand menu.
    4. On the right-hand side, click on "Apps & features."
    5. Scroll down and click on the "Advanced options" link under the list of installed apps.
    6. In the Advanced options, you should see the "Choose where to get apps" section, which allows you to select the source for installing apps. By default, it is set to the Microsoft Store.
If you're not seeing the "Choose where to get apps" option in the Advanced options section, it's possible that your Windows 11 installation or specific settings might be causing this issue. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:

    1. Ensure that your Windows 11 installation is up to date. Go to Settings > Windows Update and check for any available updates. Install any pending updates and restart your computer if necessary.
    2. Check for any pending driver updates for your HP laptop. Visit the HP support website or use HP's support assistant software to check for and install any available driver updates.
    3. If you're still not seeing the option, you can try running the Windows Store Apps troubleshooter to identify and fix any issues related to the Microsoft Store. To do this, go to Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters. Look for "Windows Store Apps" and click on it to run the troubleshooter.
    4. Consider reinstalling the AVG security application. If the issue persists, it may be worth uninstalling and reinstalling the AVG security software to ensure a proper installation.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, it's recommended to reach out to HP support or the support team of the AVG security application for further assistance. They will have access to specific troubleshooting steps and can provide guidance tailored to your situation.

Please note that Windows 11 is a relatively new operating system, and certain functionalities and settings may vary or undergo changes through updates. It's always a good idea to consult the latest documentation or seek support from the relevant software or hardware manufacturer when encountering specific issues.

  4. No 'look for another app' option for TEL link Windows 11 Home

Where is the option "Copy OneDrive link" in the new app Photos on Windows 11?

    Hello,

Where is the "Copy OneDrive link" option in the new Photos app on Windows 11?

✅ In File Explorer on Windows 11, I can select my photos/videos, right-click and choose "OneDrive > Copy Link". This lets me send the link to someone via Gmail or Messenger.

❌ But in the new Photos app on Windows 11, which does integrate OneDrive photos, there's no way to copy a OneDrive link! All I can do is share through the Windows Mail application. This doesn't work for me at all, because I'm asked to enter my Outlook contact's e-mail address.

    1. That's not what I want.
    2. I've been using Gmail for 20 years, so my Outlook contact list is empty. All my contacts are on Gmail. Moreover, as my contact list is empty, autocomplete when I write doesn't suggest anything...!
    3. I don't see myself going to Gmail, looking for my contact, copying the email address and pasting it into the field Windows asks me to share.

All I want is to be able to copy OneDrive links to send my photos/videos to my friends/family/contacts. I don't understand why the sharing options are different between File Explorer and the Photos app on Windows. These are two products created by Microsoft, and I don't understand this lack of harmonization at all. It's extremely frustrating.

Here below: a screenshot of File Explorer (Copier le lien = Copy the link).

✅ This is OK. As you can see, I can copy the link and share it where I want.

Here below: a screenshot of app Photos (Partager = Share).

❌ This is NOT OK. As you can see, there is no "Copy the link" option..... "Partager/Share" allows me to share only via the Windows Mail application.

    Please fix that.....
